Excessive Sweating in the Groin Area
Keep fresh and cool.
Shower regularly, especially during summer. Try to stay in cool places and avoid physical activities that are not necessary. Wear light clothing to avoid too much insulation.
Use underwear made with natural fibers.
Cotton is a good material to use because it's light, airy and absorbent so sweating is minimized. If you do sweat, it won't bother you too much. You might also like to use clothes that fit loosely and avoid skin-tight shorts and pants to keep your groin area cool.
Keep dry.
After shower, thoroughly dry your groin area. Use an unscented talcum powder and lightly dust your inner thighs. Talc is absorbent and will help prevent excessive sweating in the groin area.
Don’t use perfume or cologne.
Sweat from the groin is oilier and once it stays on the surface of your skin, it will mix with bacteria in the air and produce odor. Don’t try to prevent this odor by using perfume or cologne. It will not only intensify the smell and produce a strange scent but might also lead to allergic reactions.
Lose weight.
If you experience excessive sweating in the groin area, it could be because you have excess skin and fat that keeps the area insulated. Worse, your skin could be rubbing against each other each time you move. If this is the case, you might want to lose weight.
See your doctor.
If you cannot control excessive sweating in the groin area, see your doctor. You might have a medical condition that will need special prescriptions or treatments.

Household Ways to Stop Excessive Sweating
Excessive sweating, known as hyperhydrosis, may be experienced in some parts of the body only or the entire body. The parts which are usually affected are the face, the underarms, the hands, and the feet. Most often than not, excessive sweating is associated with body odor. The latter is experienced due to the bacteria and fungi which live in damp areas. This is the primary reason why you must apply the following household ways to stop excessive sweating:
· If excessive sweating occurs on your face, wrap some ice in a face towel and use it to gently rub on your face before you apply any make-up . The purpose for this is to close the pores on your face.
· To avoid having body odor, use clean and appropriate clothing, preferably cotton, which absorbs sweat.
· Combine a small portion of baking soda with starch to make a household baking powder and put a few drops of lemon juice. Use this to pat the underarms at least twice a day.
· White vinegar is another effective treatment for body odor. Instead of using an anti-perspirant, use cotton to apply the white vinegar in the underarms.
· You may use a freshly sliced potato to rub in your underarms. You should let it dry first before getting dressed.
· If you are suffering from excessive sweating on your feet, wash them at least twice a day with fir needle, horsetail, sage, or oak bark infusion . Sage is effective at eliminating odor especially if taken for several weeks. You may supplement this with drinking 1 quart of sage tea everyday.
Diet and stress also contribute to excessive sweating. Thus, watch the food that you eat and always manage your stress. By using household ways to stop excessive sweating, you are solving your problem in a more natural manner.

Excessive Underarm Perspiration
Control measures and treatments are necessary to avoid too much underarm sweating. As a control measure, you must always try to stay dry. Bacteria and fungi thrive in moist areas. Likewise, you should bathe often and ensure that you are thoroughly dry after you bathe, choose clothes which absorb sweat, and try some relaxation techniques. Stress is not the main cause for excessive underarm perspiration but it worsens the problem by stimulating the sweat glands through the nervous system.
Anti-perspirant is the widely-used treatment to control excessive underarm perspiration. It contains a solution of 10 percent to 15 percent aluminum chloride, which blocks sweat ducts which causes sweating in the armpits. A much more effective treatment is the use of Botox Injections, the use of which for excessive underarm sweating, has been allowed by the Food and Drug Administration. In just two (2) weeks after treatment, excessive sweating is gone. The procedure needs to be repeated though two (2) or three (3) times a year. A physician should be consulted before administering botox injections. If all of the above treatments fail, don’t fret because there is still another option and that is surgery.
Surgery through the use of liposuction techniques will stop excessive undearm perspiration permanently. While the patient is under local anesthetic, the sweat glands are taken out. The procedure takes approximately 40 minutes to finish and is 75 percent effective, based on a recent study made by doctors at the Ruhr University in Germany. Surgery is only offered to patients who have already tried other modes for treating excessive underarm perspiration.

Best Way to Handle Excessive Underarm Perspiration
Keep fresh.
Sweat is the body's way to cool itself, that's why you produce sweat on hot days or when you're exercising or stressed. Take a shower everyday – more than once if you live in a hot, humid environment.
Wear clean, airy clothes made with natural and absorbent fibers such as linen or cotton. Choose loose-fitting clothes or those that aren’t tight around your underarms.
Soak up the perspiration.
Another best way to handle excessive underarm perspiration is to use underarm pads or shields. These are soft pads that can be attached to your clothes' armpit area to help absorb your excess perspiration. It's very unobtrusive because it's hidden inside your shirt or dress and it's also quite comfortable.
Use a strong anti-perspirant.
Check your deodorant. If it only says 'deodorant', it means it will prevent odor but will not be good at controlling perspiration. Choose a deodorant AND anti-perspirant or just an anti-perspirant.
To use, dry your underarms thoroughly and apply the deodorant carefully. If you're excessively hairy, try to trim or shave before using your anti-perspirant to ensure that it comes in contact with your skin. If you need a really strong anti-perspirant, ask your doctor for a prescription.
Keep cool.
If it's not necessary, avoid too much physical activity, especially before important meetings, interviews or dates. Also, try to find ways to manage stress.
See your doctor.
Probably the best way to handle excessive underarm perspiration is to consult your doctor. Hyperhidrosis is a medical condition that can be managed and even eliminated using medical procedures such as surgery or even botox treatments.

Woman Sweating
More so than during other times in the recent of history of mankind, in this day and age it's more important than ever to stay as sweat-free and sweet smelling as possible. This means that most of us need to resort to the use of deodorants, antiperspirants and other such devices to help us control our sweating problems. And more so than for a man, for a woman sweating and the associated stains, odors and things, are a big problem.
This coupled with the fact that most advertising promotions are aimed at women and how they can stop or control their sweat, makes for a very neurotic population of women indeed. Just think about it, when was the last time that you left the house without first applying a dash of perfume, or a dose of fresh deodorant or antiperspirant? Probably just before you discovered the wonders of deodorant!
But did you ever stop to think what these chemical based deodorants and antiperspirants could be doing to your body? Yes, for a woman sweating is a major problem, and you have to absolutely always look fresh and bright with nothing to remind you that you are actually human and therefore prone to sweating. This is of course not your fault - we have been raised to believe from our very small days that sweat is bad, and that smelling of sweat is one of the worst offences ever!
True, smelling of sweat is no picnic either for you or for those around you, but sweating is an absolutely essential part of your bodily functions and inhibiting this function just to be able to go about in society with your head held high is a high price, which you will have to pay for, in the future.
Science has yet to tell us conclusively that breast cancer cannot be caused by the use of chemical laden deodorants and sweat-inhibiting, pore-clogging antiperspirants. They do however, tell us repeatedly over and over again, that there's as yet no conclusive link between the two - implying that it is safe to use these without further thought about the consequences.
These are just semantics, a tap dancing around the real issue in which deodorant and antiperspirant giants make use of the neurosis that a woman sweating even moderately, has these days.
What about in the days before deodorants and antiperspirants came on the scene, what then? Surely not everyone in the world stayed as grime laden as did our middle-ages ancestors? Surely there were other civilizations which stayed smelling sweet and fresh without resorting to the toxins that we use today?
The answer of course, is there were such civilizations and yes, they had means of dealing with sweat, and dealing with it in a natural manner without resorting to the use of nasty toxins. And for today's woman sweating need no longer be controlled by modern deodorants and antiperspirants, instead they can turn to these age old natural methods to help deal with any sweat problems.About the Author
